Christian is the founding partner of Solis. He specializes in local and international tax consultancy, as well as in strategic tax litigation.

 

He has more than 18 years of experience working in local tax consultancy, international taxation, mergers and acquisitions, spin offs, restructures and tax litigation.

 

He attained his JD degree from Instituto Tecnológico Autonomo de México (“ITAM”). Moreover, he concluded a post graduate degree in Tax Law in Universidad Panamericana and took a post graduate course in International Taxes, in ITAM.

 

Christian has successfully advised national and foreign clients in the attention and follow-up of inspection procedures initiated by the federal and local authorities, as well as in the preparation, filing and follow-up of applicable means of defense (including, among others, administrative appeals, conclusive agreements before the Federal Taxpayer’s Attorney, constitutional proceedings and annulment lawsuits before the Federal Tax Court). Also, he has helped clients to implement preventive procedures and controls to avoid future contingencies, based on the tax authorities’ new audit tendencies.

 

His services have been used by companies involved in different sectors of the economy, including gas, electricity (generation and transmission), retail, financial system, hotels and restaurants, insurance, capital markets, automotive, pharmaceutical, real estate, etc.

 

Christian has worked in some of the most prestigious tax specialized firms in the country and had the opportunity to work abroad in the United States at Gardere, Wynne Sewell, LLP.

 

He speaks fluently Spanish and English.
